Residents and others who wish to have their loved ones lodged in the wall should contact Kathy Alty at the CGVC on 88426400. Kathy is the Council’s Officer responsible for the business relating to public cemeteries.

ACDC’s next meeting will be an Open Meeting, on Tuesday 10th April, 2018 at 7.30pm at the RSL Hall Auburn. The Auburn community wishes to thank the Clare Gilbert Valleys Council for the placing of two ‘doggie bag’ dispensers in our local area. One has been installed in Centenary Park on the exterior wall of the Park Shelter, and another has been installed on the Riesling Trail at its entrance to Auburn. These bags are a great public asset, so when you are walking your dog, please use these bags to maintain the safety and comfort of fellow walkers/bike riders.
The Auburn Traders were successful in October 2017, receiving a Community Asset Grant of $3,000, from the CGVC. these funds will be used to complete the Mosaic project including a plaque for each artwork and a brochure to explain how the artwork represents Auburn.
In the near future there will be a working bee to finish the last 6 mosaic artworks, as well as a bbq to thank all volunteers who will have worked on this project.
Some of the plants have not survived this summer, and these willbe replaced by Auburn Traders.
The CGVC has made available the opportunity for community groups to apply for grants for projects within their area. the closing date for the Draft submission is Friday 6th October. if you have a project in mind for your group, please contact the CGVC on 88426400 for further information and the application form. Good luck to all who submit projects.
